The folks in Lawrence gave us an honest view of their entire operation, allowing us to consider the advantages, the risks and the effort involved with convergence. Information gleaned from the conference added important wrinkles to our long-term strategic plan, as well as providing a number of ideas that we could quickly act upon. Without a doubt, the CLIK Conference was the best investment we’ve made in a long time.

The Lawrence Journal-World is easily the most converged news operation in North America, and one of the most converged in the world.

The people at the Lawrence Journal-World are so far out in front of the media pack in their use of interactive databases, multimedia, novel approaches to online storytelling, and every other form of web publishing it leaves the rest of us green with envy. If you want to see what great online journalism will be in the future, check out what the Lawrence Journal-World is doing today.

The CLIK Conference opened my eyes to how much a regional news organization could do with a dedicated staff, inexpensive equipment and a can-do-attitude.

Jan Schaffer
Executive Director

The CLIK Conference was an enlightening, stimulating two days for Todd Carpenter, president of Boone Newspapers and me. What has been done in Lawrence provides an excellent catalyst to others who need to expand traditional newspaper services and better serve their market. Since attending, two other of our key people have attended, were impressed with what they learned, were exposed to and the stimulus provided.
