The Kansas Board of Regents on Thursday approved the policy as it was written by a committee of students, faculty and administrators. State higher education leaders have begun writing a policy for teaching sexually explicit topics, but that might not keep sex education from becoming an issue in the Legislature next year. State Sen. I reviewed class documents, Dailey's qualifications to teach the course, his response to the allegations, testimonials from students who had taken the class and Dailey's teaching evaluations for the past five years. I interviewed Jessica Zahn and reviewed the McGraw-Hill textbook and audiovisual materials used in the course.
