Lawrence's Outlaws swept an 18-under American Legion baseball doubleheader with Kansas City Post 199 on Wednesday that featured a bizarre conclusion.
After winning the opening game, 3-1, the Outlaws were ahead 7-4 in the nightcap when a bench-clearing brawl took place in the top of the seventh inning. After the KC Post 199 pitcher was ejected, the team only had eight players remaining and the game was called because of American Legion rules.
