The Lawrence Journal-World provides reprints of most staff-produced photos published in the newspaper or posted on a J-W Web site since September 1996.

J-W staff photos are copyrighted. All reprints are sold for personal use only and may not be copied, reproduced, distributed or published without written permission. No photographs are sold for commercial or advertising use.

Payment

All orders must be prepaid. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express, checks and money orders. Checks should be made payable to the Lawrence Journal-World. Sales tax is included.

To order by mail, complete this form, print it, add 7.3% Kansas sales tax to total and mail it with check,money order or credit card information to:

Limitations

Photos.ljworld.com does not sell photographs made by wire services or syndicates. Some staff photos may not be available for sale.

Other services

If the photo you want was published before September 1996, or if you don't know where a photo was published or which photographer shot it, we still may be able to help. We can search our files for a fee ($40 per half hour with a half-hour minimum charge). This fee applies whether or not the photo at issue is found. If we find the photo, standard charges apply for buying a print.

Requests for publication

Permission to republish a J-W staff photo is handled by the J-W newsroom Managing Editor. These requests must be made in writing. Fax your request to the Managing Editor at (785) 843-4512 or e-mail it to rbrack@ljworld.com. Be sure to include the type of publication that is seeking permission, circulation, intended use of the photo and size at which photo will run.
